Recycling Bins CLOSED at the Township

Recycling Bins CLOSED at the Township

We know recycling is important to you. However, the recycling bins at the Township are full; therefore, we have them closed. The gentleman responsible for emptying the bins has had some unfortunate circumstances to prevent him from maintaining these bins. The Township has been in contact with IRC (formerly Blair County Waste Management). They have given permission for our residents to take their recycling to the Duncansville Recycling Center at 16906 Dunnings Hwy; south of Inlow’s Drive-In restaurant.

For additional information about the Duncansville Recycling location, here is their link: http://ircenvironment.org/composting/r-d-composting-facility

The Duncansville Recycling Center is open Tuesdays from noon to 5 p.m.

UPDATE:

The recycling center at the township is permanently closed.   We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.  In order to be approved for a recycling grant, the Township Supervisors would need to require residents recycle, have a trash hauler, and ban burning in the township.   The Supervisors understand these options are not possible for all the residents in Greenfield Township; therefore, they opted not to make these changes.
