Greenfield Township Board of Supervisors is seeking applications for a Part-Time Patrolman to be a School Resource Officer (SRO) at the Claysburg-Kimmel School District. The SRO provides daily coverage at the elementary and high schools, as well as coverage at select athletic and school events.
A summary of the SRO responsibilities includes working with district and school faculty; participate in planning and presenting educational assemblings for safety, crime, drugs, alcohol, vaping, etc.; safety drills; interact and build rapport with students; law enforcement; etc.
Starting hourly rate of $17 plus an attractive uniform allowance. SROs follow the same schedule as the students. Occasionally, an SRO may need to attend a teacher in-service function.
All applicants must be Act120 certified in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. All offers of employment are subject to successfully passing Act151, Act34, FBI Clearances, physical and psych evaluations, and a background check. EOE
